Rating: Gold Award
BLACKBURN HAVE been in the trainer game for decades and this versatile training anvil is perfect for long-term hammer. The wide spayed adjustable legs and low-ride height make it stable and adjustable enough to cope with a ploughed field, let alone a garage floor. The mid-size roller means a bit of grumble and vibration, but it's not going to make you numb. There's enough flywheel sustain for smooth shifts and low cadence power sessions and there's no wheel slip either. The whole unit feels solid and we're still using a Blackburn we bought back in 1989, so you're unlikely to need the no-quibble lifetime warranty, but it all adds up to great value.
