Review from Cycling Weekly:
BLACKBURN invested some serious time into researching the anatomy of a trainer in the development of its latest Tech range. What they found put a lot of turbo-trainer myths to bed. Blackburn found trainers do not realistically simulate resistance forces due to variation between riders. Fuid trainers, it also found, did not provide a more realistic road feel: they have two different resistance curves and should be matched to the rider's training goals. For instance, the Tech Fluid with a progressive resistance is better suited to power and speed efforts and a magnestic trainer would be better at spinning and cadence sessions due to the restance curve.
Stability and stiffness of the set-up have a greater impact on performance. The Tech Fluid is designed with a boxed steel frame for optimum stiffness. A wide footprint and low height have also been designed into the frame for stability, and adjustable legs allow the rear wheel height to be adjusted down to just a quarter of an inch off the ground.
The FastCrank mounting system gives a quick and easy mounting and with a lifetime warranty the Tech Fluid certainly looks to be a top choice if you plan on indoor training this winter.
