Formed in 1948, Panaracer began manufacturing rubber products for a variety of commercial applications. In 1978 Panaracer began to exclusively produce bicycle tires so that they could carefully focus on producing the finest bike tyres available today.
Without a doubt, Panaracer is the last Japanese manufacturer still producing bike tyres and thus Road Bike Tires in Japan. The domestic production of Panaracer Tyres allows them to keep quality control at the highest levels.

Panaracer have seven full time R&D engineers constantly researching compounds, bicycle tyre tread patterns and casing technology. Additionally, there is an emphasis on cutting-edge CAD tyre tread and tyre profile development.

This advanced first stage of tire creation allows Panaracer to quickly advance new Tyre designs and product development. Panaracer are also constantly upgrading the tyre molds and bladders, both important tools for producing reliable cutting-edge tyres.
